About Us
The Tiverton Swords Fencing Club was started in 2008 by local fencing coach Ben Hodgson. It has received a great deal of support from locals, the Moorhayes Community Association and the Wellington Swords Fencing Club.
Head Coach
Ben Hodgson is a BFA (British Fencing Association) qualified coach, with over 10 years experience of the sport and 3 years of hands-on coaching experience at Truro Fencing Club in Cornwall and Wellington Fencing Club in Somerset. His primary weapons are Epee and Foil.
Community
Ben is currently seeking to develop fencing in the community at local schools, offering free taster sessions and the possibility of starting up regular school clubs.
If you would like fencing to be available at your local school, give them our details! If there's sufficient interest we can make it happen.
